Niels van Gelder

Niels van Gelder is a partner in the employment law practice. Previously, he worked for Van Doorne, Landwell (the corresponding law firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, which merged with Van Doorne), De Vos & Partners and Trenité van Doorne. After graduating from Amsterdam University in 1990, Niels studied at Cambridge University (LL.M.) He was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar in 1992.

Niels is specialized in employment law, with a particular emphasis on individual and collective dismissals, reorganizations and post deal harmonization of employment conditions, cross-border employment and employee participation issues (works councils).

Niels publishes regularly on various employment law topics.
He is a member of the Association of Employment Lawyers Amsterdam and the Association for Employment Law.

Niels van Gelder is fluent in Dutch and English.
