Suzanne Gerritse
Suzanne Gerritse is a senior associate within the Employment Law practice group at HEUSSEN. She advises both national and international clients on a wide range of employment law matters. Suzanne is a qualified attorney. She regularly attends (international) employment law conferences, publishes in professional journals, and provides workshops and master classes for companies, tax advisors, and HR-students. In addition, she serves as a board member of the NVP, the independent professional association for HR professionals.

- Assisted a bank, a pharmaceutical company, and an automotive parts manufacturer in a restructuring process.
- Advised a beverage manufacturer and an international translation agency on the employment law consequences of a transfer of undertaking.
- Advised various international organizations on (long-term) secondments and flexible forms of employment.
- Assisted several international clients with the reintegration of long-term sick employees and conducted related objection proceedings before the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV).
- Delivered various workshops for clients and tax advisors on employment law topics.
- Delivered a master class for HR-students on the employment law implications of a restructuring.
Specifics
Suzanne graduated from the University of Leiden in Civil law and Employment law. In 2020, she successfully completed the Postgraduate Professional Program in Employment Law (PALA) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Suzanne is fluent in Dutch and English.

Suzanne has registered the principal legal practice area EMPLOYMENT LAW in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten (10) training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
