Chili simplifies legalization of foreign public documents

As from 30 August 2016 the legalization of public documents from Chile is simplified into one, single procedure. As a consequence, it now will be easier, faster and cheaper to obtain public documents, such as birth certificates, marital state declarations, death certificates, judgements and company information for use in a foreign country. For this purpose Chile joined –as 112th nation– the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (“Apostille Convention”).
